Special Bronze – Materials and norms
Special Bronze
Special bronzes include grades of phosphor bronze such as CuSn9P and CuSn10P, as well as nickel bronze and manganese bronze. Beryllium copper, sometimes referred to as beryllium bronze, can be found on the copper page. The presence of phosphorus ensures greater wear resistance and strength. Both nickel and manganese increase strength and resistance to corrosion in saltwater or acidic environments. Beryllium enhances durability combined with electrical conductivity.
We supply bronze in the form of bars (round, flat, square, hexagonal, hollow), tubes or sheets. We cut semi-finished products into precise pre-final dimensions using band saws.
Below you will find a selection of the most common material grades we work with. Note for European standards (EN): the prefix CC (e.g. CC492K) indicates castings, CB (e.g. CB492K) indicates ingots, and CW (e.g. CW492K) indicates alloys intended for forming. Note for mechanical properties tables: values may vary depending on the manufacturing process and profile – more precise information for a specific semi-finished product is available on request.
