AlMg4,5Mn0,7 (EN AW-5083) is an alloy known for excellent performance even under extreme loads. It has a high resistance to corrosion, both against sea water and various industrially used chemicals. It can be perfectly welded and machined and can be anodized. It is used for constructions in the chemical, food or shipbuilding industry, in hydraulics, tubes in aircraft, fencing, in household appliances, on railway cars, vehicle bodies, cages or pressure vessels.
