AlSi1MgMn (EN AW-6082) has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys. It also excels in a combination of basic properties: very high corrosion resistance, very good weldability, machinability and anodizability. It is suitable for highly stressed parts in bridges, cranes, ships, mining machines, motor boats, trucks, wheels, as well as boilers, platforms, beams, scaffolding, frames for tents, pipes, rivets...
